REQUIREMENTS : National Senior Certificate. A qualification at NQF level 6 in Labour Relations /
Labour Law / Social Science with Labour Relations/ Law as major subjects.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an employment relations environment. A good
understanding of Labour legislation, policy and procedures applicable to the
Public Service. Knowledge of disciplinary, grievance and dispute resolution
procedures. Computer skills. Good interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills. A valid driver’s license.
DUTIES : Represent the Department at disciplinary and conciliation hearings. Advice
management/ employees on the handling of labour related matters. Conduct
audits, surveys on compliance with labour relations legislation. Coordinate
training, workshops and meetings for the component. Coordinate the
submission and consolidation of prescribed reports. Conduct research related
to employment relations in the Department and present proposals to improve
relationships at all levels in the organization.
