Our Client, a leading and vertically integrated citrus, and rooibos tea producer in the Citrusdal Valley currently has an opportunity for a dynamic individual as CSR Coordinator, Support & Administrator, to join their Corporate Social Responsibility team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting & Communication:

  • Collect information from various departments about sustainability and community development projects. This may include financial information, statistics, photos, and other qualitative information
  • Liaise with photographers, designers and other service providers as needed to compile reports
  • Report on a regular and ad hoc basis to project funders, clients, partners and internally
  • Posting and communicating on social media and other online platforms
  • Take primary responsibility for the quarterly newsletter and annual report of the Foundation Trust
  • Certification / Accreditations Support: Support the CR Manager in preparation for accreditations as required by international clients, specifically relating to the topics of ethical trading and environmental sustainability

This may typically include:

  • Organizing information from different departments in the required format
  • Calculating Carbon & Water Footprints of the company
  • Writing policy drafts
  • Loading information on client’s online platforms

Provide administrative and coordination support to the CSR manager and team by:

  • General administrative support
  • Organizing information and materials for meetings
  • Coordinate and organize events
  • Help with projects management in community development and sustainability

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Applicable tertiary qualification (e.g., University degree or Diploma), with a continuous learning attitude
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a related field or industry (Foundation dealing with ethical audits/social audits)
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills – written, visual, and verbal
  • Computer literacy, including Excel and a basic understanding of database systems
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership & influencing skills
  • Willingness and ability to work and prosper within a team environment
  • Self-motivated, driven, resilient and humble
  • Skills/experience in any of the following would be advantageous, but not essential: social media management, ethical audits, database management, project management or public relations (PR)

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary is market related and dependent on experience
